CHIJMES was the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus; its chapel, now CHIJMES Hall, and Caldwell House are National Monuments, and the lawns and terraces between them are hired out for events. We plan on the lawns and the Terracotta only; CHIJMES Hall is run by a separate operator.

Our catering, décor and coordination are nett, with no service charge added. The first invoice covers the lawn hire in full plus a share of our services, and CHIJMES needs every payment cleared before the event.
On the Main Lawn, about 150 seated or up to 300 standing. On the Mini Lawn, about 50 seated or up to 100 standing. On the Terracotta, about 40 guests. The trees and any tent shape the layout, so we confirm it on a site visit. For theatre-style rows, tell us your format and we confirm the numbers.
No. The lawns are bare: there is no sound, lighting, stage or AV. Power points are at the Main Lawn and the Terracotta. Our production team can add sound, a stage, lighting or an LED screen, and CHIJMES hires out its own LED screens at its own rate. Everything goes on your written quote.
Yes, on the Main Lawn. We put it up and arrange the SCDF, URA and NHB approvals CHIJMES asks for, so tell us early. Tent hire is not in the live price; it goes on your written quote. No tents are allowed on the Mini Lawn.
Choose the Main Lawn and we put up a tent, so your guests have cover if it rains. The Mini Lawn allows no tents and the Terracotta is an open terrace, so if the weather worries you, the Main Lawn is the safer choice.
Monday to Friday, any time outside 12–2pm and 6–11pm, so for a weekday evening event we set up before 6pm. On Saturdays and Sundays CHIJMES allows works only between 4am and 10am, so for a weekend event we set up by 10am and clear from 4am the next morning. We check with CHIJMES whether your date needs a second day's hire and put any charge on your written quote.
Yes. Every menu comes from our own halal-certified kitchen, which caters on the CHIJMES lawns, with a vegetarian choice in every course, so one buffet works for the whole company. Tell us about allergies and we mark them on the menu.
No. CHIJMES Hall is run by a separate operator, so we plan on the lawns and the Terracotta only.
It is built from CHIJMES' 2026 per-day rate for Friday to Sunday and public holidays, plus our own menu, décor and planning prices, all nett. Monday to Thursday costs less. Tables, chairs, any tent and any sound or AV go on your written quote, and dates from 2027 are confirmed at CHIJMES' rate when you book.
CHIJMES is at 30 Victoria Street, 3 minutes' walk from City Hall MRT; Bras Basah and Esplanade MRT are 4 minutes away. Drivers enter from Victoria Street, and the car park has valet parking from 6pm to 1am and EV charging.
