Can you invoice our company and work with a purchase order?
Yes. We send an itemised written quotation and an invoice in your company's name, and can quote against your purchase order. Our catering, crew and coordination are nett, with no service charge added.
How many guests can we have?
On the Main Lawn, about 150 seated or up to 300 standing. On the Mini Lawn, about 50 seated or up to 100 standing. On the Terracotta, about 40 guests. The trees and any tent shape the layout, so we confirm it on a site visit. For theatre-style rows, tell us your format and we confirm the numbers.
Is there sound, a stage or a screen?
No. The lawns are bare: there is no sound, lighting, stage or AV. Power points are at the Main Lawn and the Terracotta. Everything goes on your written quote.
Can you put up a tent?
Yes, on the Main Lawn. We put it up and arrange the SCDF, URA and NHB approvals CHIJMES asks for, so tell us early. Tent hire is not in the live price; it goes on your written quote.
What if it rains?
Choose the Main Lawn and we put up a tent, so your guests have cover if it rains. The Mini Lawn allows no tents and the Terracotta is an open terrace, so if the weather worries you, the Main Lawn is the safer choice.
When can you set up?
Monday to Friday, any time outside 12–2pm and 6–11pm, so for a weekday evening event we set up before 6pm. On Saturdays and Sundays CHIJMES allows works only between 4am and 10am, so for a weekend event we set up by 10am and clear from 4am the next morning. We check with CHIJMES whether your date needs a second day's hire and put any charge on your written quote.
Is the food halal?
Yes. Every menu comes from our own halal-certified kitchen, which caters on the CHIJMES lawns, with a vegetarian choice in every course, so one buffet works for the whole company. Tell us about allergies and we mark them on the menu.
Can we use CHIJMES Hall instead?
No. CHIJMES Hall is run by a separate operator, so we plan on the lawns and the Terracotta only.
Is the price final?
It is built from CHIJMES' 2026 per-day rate for Friday to Sunday and public holidays, plus our own menu, crew and coordination prices, all nett. Monday to Thursday costs less. Tables, chairs, any tent and any sound or AV go on your written quote, and dates from 2027 are confirmed at CHIJMES' rate when you book.
How do guests get there?
CHIJMES is at 30 Victoria Street, 3 minutes' walk from City Hall MRT; Bras Basah and Esplanade MRT are 4 minutes away. Drivers enter from Victoria Street, and the car park has valet parking from 6pm to 1am and EV charging.
Can you send a formal quotation for our procurement?
Yes. Send the estimate from this page and a planner replies with an itemised written quotation, line by line, that you can file for approval.
What are the menu options?
Prime Essential is included in every package, from 30 guests, with Prime Signature and Prime Premium priced per guest on top; tea break & canapés as a lighter package; and conference tea breaks as add-ons, priced per guest on the venue page.
Can you do the stage and branding?
Yes, as an option: an LED wall (priced to size), or a goalpost truss with a printed banner backdrop wall. AV, staging and event extras are quoted with your planner.
Is there GST or a service charge?
No service charge, and the price you see is nett. Venue hire is passed through at the venue's own rate, with no mark-up from us.
