Is a homam allowed?
Yes. Orchard Hotel allows the fire ceremony in the ballroom, and Alangkaar is the planner authorised to run it there. We plan the stage around your priest and the homam, and inform hotel security ahead of the day.
How many guests fit?
Up to 1,000 at 100 tables of 10 with all three sections open, one of the largest hotel ballrooms in Singapore. Ballroom 1 seats 160, Ballroom 2 or 3 seats 270, and two sections together seat 550. The Lavender Room takes 70.
How long is the booking?
A half day is one session: lunch from 11am to 4pm, which can start earlier for a morning ceremony, or dinner in the evening. A full day gives you the ballroom for both. Extra hours run to 2am at the hotel's rate.
What does the hotel include?
The ballroom set with round tables, chairs and linen, LED walls in every section with the hotel's AV technician, 3 wireless mics, stage, walk-in and ambience lighting, moving heads and a smoke machine, a dedicated banquet manager, a changing room, parking coupons and a VIP lot. All of it is in your package.
Buffet or communal?
Both. Hotel Premium, included in your package, is a styled buffet with up to 3 lines in the foyer and the Lavender Room. Grand Royal, Hotel Maharaja and Royal Banquet are richer menus priced per guest on top, and communal lazy Susan service is +$15 a guest on any of them.
Is the food halal?
Yes. Every menu is cooked in our own halal-certified kitchen and served by our crew at the hotel. Need vegetarian dishes or a mixed menu? Tell us your guest mix and we build it into your quote.
When can the décor go in?
For a dinner, from 5.30pm, or from 12pm when there is no earlier event in the ballroom. For a lunch, our team sets up the night before. Your quote states the bump-in time the hotel confirms for your date.
How do guests get there?
The hotel is next to Orchard Boulevard MRT on the Thomson–East Coast Line and a short walk from Orchard MRT. Guests who drive use the ballroom's complimentary parking coupons: 30 a section, 100 when you take all three, plus 1 VIP lot at the entrance.
Is the price final?
It is built from the hotel's rate for your room and session, confirmed with us for events up to 30 June 2028, plus our menu, décor, crew and planning, shown as one package. Your written quote locks the total once the hotel confirms your date.
