30 Victoria Street, in the Civic District. CHIJMES' heritage buildings, Caldwell House and CHIJMES Hall, are National Monuments, and the lawns and terraces between them are hired out for events. We plan on the lawns and the Terracotta only; CHIJMES Hall is run by a separate operator.

Yes. We hold akad nikah, walimah, bertunang and family celebrations on the CHIJMES lawns, catered by our own kitchen. The Mini Lawn suits an akad nikah for about 50 seated guests; the Main Lawn takes about 150 seated for the akad, the bersanding and the walimah, with a tent if you want one. We book your date with CHIJMES, set out the akad table and the pelamin, then serve the meal. Your marriage registration with the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) and your kadi or naib kadi stay with you and your family.
Yes. Every menu is cooked in our own halal-certified kitchen, which caters on the CHIJMES lawns, so every guest eats from the same buffet. Tell us about allergies or vegetarian guests when you book.
Yes. Our own décor team designs, builds and clears your pelamin on the Main Lawn. CHIJMES asks that any canvas be white, grey or black in one solid colour and that the back of every backdrop is covered, so we style within those rules. Choose the décor level in the price builder and the price updates as you go.
Yes, on the Main Lawn, for a wedding, a solemnisation or a company event. We put it up and arrange the SCDF, URA and NHB approvals CHIJMES asks for, so tell us early. Tent hire is not in the live price; it goes on your written quote. No tents are allowed on the Mini Lawn.
Choose the Main Lawn and we put up a tent, so your guests have cover if it rains. The Mini Lawn allows no tents and the Terracotta is an open terrace, so if the weather worries you, the Main Lawn is the safer choice.
Monday to Friday, any time outside 12–2pm and 6–11pm. On Saturdays and Sundays CHIJMES allows works only between 4am and 10am, so for a weekend event we set up by 10am and clear from 4am the next morning. We check with CHIJMES whether that needs a second day's hire and put any charge on your written quote.
There is no sound or lighting on the lawns. Power points are at the Main Lawn and the Terracotta; on the Mini Lawn, sound may need a generator. Tell us if you need a microphone for the kadi and the lafaz, and we add it to your written quote.
Tell us your prayer times when you book. A prayer space is not in the live price; we check what CHIJMES can offer for your date and let you know before you confirm.
No. CHIJMES Hall is run by a separate operator with its own wedding packages, so we plan on the lawns and the Terracotta only.
It is built from CHIJMES' 2026 per-day rate for Friday to Sunday and public holidays, plus our own menu, décor and planning prices, all nett. Monday to Thursday costs less. Tables, chairs and any tent go on your written quote, and dates from 2027 are confirmed at CHIJMES' rate when you book.
Nothing we bring has any: our kitchen is halal-certified, we serve no alcohol and no non-halal drinks, and our crew pours nothing else at your event. The venue's own bar and its other rooms are the venue's to run, so tell us what you need for your day and we put it in writing with the venue before you commit.
Yes. Akad Nikah Light Refreshments start at $14.90 a guest, from 20 guests, and suit the akad at the venue or at home before the walimah.
No. The couple registers the marriage with the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) and chooses the kadi or naib kadi from ROMM's panel when filing the application. We look after the venue, the food, the pelamin and the running of the day.
Yes. Our own décor team designs and builds the pelamin, the bersanding dais and the entrance, scaled to your room and guest count. Pick a level in the price builder and see it in your total.
The buffets start at 30 guests, and the akad refreshments at 20. Below that, talk to a planner and we will suggest a set-up that fits.
Not from us. Alangkaar is not GST-registered and adds no service charge, so our food, décor and planning are nett. Venue hire is at the venue's own rate, with no mark-up from us.
