Is the food halal?
Yes. Every menu is cooked in our own halal-certified kitchen, arrives ready and is served from our own buffet line and warmers by our own crew. Tell us about allergies or vegetarian guests and we build them into your quote.
Can your kitchen cater at the Khalsa Association?
Yes. Our own kitchen caters your event here, with our own crew to serve and clear. The hall belongs to the Singapore Khalsa Association; we book it with you and handle its vendor terms.
Can we hold the akad nikah here?
Yes. The hall is booked for the full day, so the akad nikah, the bersanding and the walimah can share one booking. Your marriage registration with the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) and your kadi or naib kadi stay with you and your family; we plan the stage, the seating and the timing around the ceremony, and confirm the hall's hours for your date.
Can we sit on a pelamin for the bersanding?
Yes. Our own décor team designs, builds and clears your pelamin on the hall's stage. Choose the décor level in the price builder, from a styled backdrop to a full bersanding dais with seats for the two of you, and the price updates as you go.
How many guests fit?
Up to 400 at round tables of 10 in the Lee Foundation Hall. For more, WhatsApp us. The hall is booked for the full day whatever your numbers, so it suits a larger gathering; for a small akad nikah or aqiqah, ask us about a smaller venue.
Are plates and cutlery included?
The hall allows no paper or plastic ware, so a buffet here is served on porcelain plates with metal cutlery. Choose Porcelain & gold cutlery under Plates & cutlery in the price builder (+$3.90 a guest); our crew collects and washes them after.
Can we hold a Hari Raya open house or bertunang here?
Yes. The hall suits a Hari Raya open house, a bertunang or a family celebration of 200 guests or more, booked for the full day with a buffet from our kitchen. Pick the occasion above to see the price for your guest count.
Is there somewhere for guests to pray?
Tell us when you book. We ask the association what it can set aside for prayers on your date and let you know before you confirm.
How do guests get there?
The hall is at 2 Tessensohn Road. Farrer Park MRT (NE8) Exit B is about a 6-minute walk, there is an open-air car park on site, and buses 21, 125, 130, 139 and 145 stop along Balestier Road.
Is the price final?
It is built from the association's current hall rates and our own menu, décor and planning prices, all nett. Sound and lighting, and tablecloths and chair covers, are added to your written quote only if you want them. Refundable deposits are extra and come back after the event. For 2027 dates, we confirm the hall's rate for your date before you commit.
Will alcohol be served at our event?
Nothing we bring has any: our kitchen is halal-certified, we serve no alcohol and no non-halal drinks, and our crew pours nothing else at your event. The venue's own bar and its other rooms are the venue's to run, so tell us what you need for your day and we put it in writing with the venue before you commit.
Can you cater the akad nikah?
Yes. Akad Nikah Light Refreshments start at $14.90 a guest, from 20 guests, and suit the akad at the venue or at home before the walimah.
Do you arrange the kadi and the marriage registration?
No. The couple registers the marriage with the Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) and chooses the kadi or naib kadi from ROMM's panel when filing the application. We look after the venue, the food, the pelamin and the running of the day.
Do you build the pelamin?
Yes. Our own décor team designs and builds the pelamin, the bersanding dais and the entrance, scaled to your room and guest count. Pick a level in the price builder and see it in your total.
How many guests do we need?
The buffets start at 30 guests, and the akad refreshments at 20. Below that, talk to a planner and we will suggest a set-up that fits.
Is there GST or a service charge?
Not from us. Alangkaar is not GST-registered and adds no service charge, so our food, décor and planning are nett. Venue hire is at the venue's own rate, with no mark-up from us.
